We are Larry and Ashley King and we started Sojourner’s Coffee House to be a place for the community but specifically a place for active duty military, veterans, and their families. Larry is a veteran of the United States Air Force and integrating a military mindset with civilian and family life can be challenging. This is a road we have walked ourselves. We have been able to find wholeness and healing and have a deep desire to help other families in this journey find community and thrive.
Sojourner’s Coffee House is a nonprofit organization with a mission to come alongside active duty military, veterans and their families where they are to help them build solid relationships, heal, grow, adapt and thrive.
We want to provide a safe and peaceful place for anyone to come and find community and support. We host small groups and events focused on active duty service members, veterans and their families to share, learn, and grow. Check out our calendar to find an event for you!
We are open to everyone in the community, but our focus is on reaching those that have served our nation and their families. We aim to reach these warriors and their families wherever they are in their journey in a confidential, informal environment. We believe resiliency starts with healing of invisible wounds of the mind, body, and spirit.
We have a goal of financially supporting Passageways, Ltd. Profits from Sojourner’s Coffee will be donated to Passageways to support their mission of giving homeless veterans temporary housing, healing, support and helping them into a new life.
